Can`t beat walking in the winter. No such thing as bad weather blah blah blah but it`s true; walk fast enough and you get a warm glow, then jump in the shower as soon as you get back and eat that last crumpet with impunity (or maybe honey). Dreich. It`s a good Scottish word but not for today even though it was grey. Dreich implies dreary and there was too much going on: road rivers, swirling mist, sleet and a cacophony of buzzards and crows and gulls and sheep and windmills and wind in the trees and gurgling drains. Far too much sensory stimulation for dreich.
