And here`s another:
"Current thinking on rendering the curriculm broader and more relevant infantilizes children rather than achieving its aim of assisting their personal development."

I did say I hadn`t quite finished it. More quotes may follow.

  1. Sounds like a really interesting book! I don't know if J- said but I'm thinking about going down the home-school route with Bub and wondered if you had any pointers re. books about actually doing it. I have no concept of where to start/what to do/what to teach having never taught anyone anything in my life (excet how to increase in knitting... it wasn't a success).

    All pointers very welcome!

    1. Just back from adventures. You`ve been `teaching` since she was born but I know it may not seem that simple! Will gather thoughts and find books!

  2. P.S. If J hasn`t already recommended it to you, start with Chronicles of Narmo by Caitlin Moran (she of How To Be A Woman which will be required reading for Bub when she`s of age) It`s not an instruction manual but excellent fun and captures the spirit of the way we approached things.
